Karlernäs joins Italian side Como after a season in BK Häcken where she was a part of winning the Swedish title in 2021. Karlernäs also has five international caps with the Swedish WNT and several youth national team games on her record. Before coming back to Sweden and BK Häcken, she was signed by Spanish Sevilla FC in December 2020, for whom she made 19 league appearances. And now it’s time to move abroad again and join her new team Como, where she has signed until 2023.

– I am very much looking forward to the move to Como. It is an interesting and ambitious club that wants to establish itself in Serie A. They are professional and have big plans for the future. I want to be part of that journey and hope to contribute a lot with my experience and playing style there. I am very excited to start training and playing matches with the team, says Julia Karlernäs.

– Very happy that all parties made this a great opportunity for Julia to play in Italy. With her qualities both on and off the pitch, she will bring a lot to Como, says Malin Levenstad, Client Manager at CMG.
