During the World Cup in France, the Norwegian National Team and LSK Women’s team captain suffered a cruciate ligament injury that kept her away from football for a year. But last year she was back and with a message: vengeance.
For example, there was no doubt when she had the best average, of most points per games, for the Toppserien last season. This year, Bosshard Haavi, has already scored more goals than she did last season and LSK Women are in contention for the league title.
– After my return from my injury, I could tell there was an identity shift or maybe better said as a generational change in the team. There were many new, younger players, and suddenly I am one of the most experienced players in the squad which also allowed me to feel more comfortable stepping into the captaincy role. I felt with my time away from the game, due to the injury, allowed me to have a greater perspective plus responsibility. I hope I can be a crucial player for the club, she says.
Haavi describes herself as a hard working, dedicated, experienced, fighter who prides herself with being comfortable with using both feet.
– We are very proud and happy to welcome Emilie to CMG. A player who has been among some of the best in the Norwegian league for many years now. She was awarded the MVP of the league last season and someone who just keeps on performing at a top level. Whether that is with LSK or the national team, game after game, season after season, her consistency is extraordinary. Emilie has an incredible work ethic which pushes her to always be better than her yesterday. I am looking forward to see where her experience, combined with her mentality, will take her. The sky is the limit, says Lisa EK, Client Manager at CMG.
Being one of CMG’s clients means a lot to Emilie.
“I have teammates who are represented by CMG and I have only heard good things about them. When Lisa Ek contacted me, the chemistry clicked right away, she understood me and it felt like she saw the full picture, not just the football player. It means a lot to feel safe with these pieces, I am super happy and feel that I have ended up in the right place,” she says.
Connect Management Group warmly welcomes Emilie Bosshard Haavi and welcomes the collaboration.
